Traffic Violations

Missouri and Illinois Traffic Violations Lawyer:
Speeding Tickets / CDL Holders / No Insurance / Moving Violations / DUI - DWI

Any County • Illinois • Missouri • Metro East • Madison County • St. Louis • Jersey County • Calhoun County • Greene County • St. Clair County

  • Moving Violations: If you have been charged with any type moving violation in Illinois or Missouri, as your traffic attorney, it is my goal for that charge to have the least possible impact on your driving record as well as your wallet.  A confession or finding of guilt on a moving violation may result in negative effects or points, depending on your state, assessed on your driving record, which may cause your insurance premiums to rise - or in cases of multiple convictions may cause your driver's license to be suspended.  Many drivers, especially younger drivers, do not realize the impact a moving violation conviction can have on their licenses (see my link to Illinois Secretary of State for more information on Illinois driver's licensing regulations).  In most instances, I, as your traffic lawyer, can take your ticket information by phone or email and mail out the paperwork to you, to help you with your busy life.  Further, most of the time I can handle your traffic ticket with no court appearance required by you.
  • Driving Under the Influence / Driving While Intoxicated: A DUI or DWI can carry hefty legal consequences and a substantial fine - you need a DUI lawyer you can trust. The effects on your driving record can deprive you of your driving privileges and can significantly increase your insurance premiums.  As your DUI attorney, I will look into the facts of your arrest and will strive to help minimize or eliminate those negative consequences.
  • CDL Holders: I understand the negative effects a conviction of a moving violation will have on a Commercial Driver's License and how the laws differ for holders of CDL's as opposed to non-CDL drivers. If you are a CDL holder and have received a traffic ticket for a moving violation, rest assured that I will handle your traffic ticket appropriately. As a CDL traffic lawyer, I know your job is on the line.  I have had many referrals over the years from satisfied truckers and commercial drivers.

When you have been charged with any moving traffic offense, seeking the advice of a knowledgeable traffic attorney can make all the difference in the world. Call or email me as soon as possible - don't risk losing your driver's license or having your insurance increased by attempting to handle a traffic violation on your own.

I, Julie Harper, have represented many men and women in Illinois and Missouri who have been charged with traffic offenses. I work to minimize the consequences of an arrest for drunk driving or a traffic or speeding ticket. Contact me for a free initial consultation.

If you are facing having been cited for driving under the influence, I will help you protect your interests in your criminal proceedings in court. I, as your DUI attorney,  will thoroughly examine all facts and aspects of your DUI arrest and will ask those important and necessary questions regarding your legal rights, like: Did the arresting officer have probable cause to stop your vehicle? Were the field sobriety tests or chemical tests properly conducted? Did the police officer follow proper legal procedure when administering a breathalyzer or blood test? Were you properly advised your legal rights?  Has the officer properly given notices?

I also represent individuals in Missouri and Illinois who are facing traffic violation issues, such as:

  • Speeding tickets
  • Young drivers
  • Vacating prior convictions to keep your license
  • Reckless driving
  • Driving with a revoked or suspended license
  • Driving without insurance
  • Construction zone & school bus violations
  • Protection of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

I am Julie Harper, Attorney at Law, and I will fight to help you minimize the negative consequences of a traffic ticket or citation and keep your fines to the absolute possible minimum. I will be able to save you the inconvenience of a personal court appearance for most traffic matters. I, personally, do not handle administrative or driver's licensing hearings, however, I will refer you to a lawyer who can advise you regarding the administrative aspects of a DUI/DWI, revocation, suspension, or other moving violation.

If you have recently received a traffic ticket or speeding ticket or have been arrested for DUI or DWI, don't try to handle the matter on your own - consult my office immediately.

Contact my office to schedule a free initial consultation. I accept all major credit cards.
